What would happen if all Christians simply closed their bank accounts and dealt with either cash or barter?

Well one advantage would be a little more privacy! No paper trail of your charity!

Another advantage would be that generally speaking you would not be financing Pornography dealers and Alcohol distributers with your savings. Abortionists would not be able to borrow your money from the bank to put up another baby murdering factory.

You would most likely get better deals for goods and services since you would be paying cash for them.

Could you save? Sure you could, you could establish a Gold and Silver buying plan in your church pooling assets together to get the best deals, you could do the same thing with food and other needs too. Your church could actually establish an emergency food pantry for hard times where long term food stuffs could be held and ratated out as needed. and that without any paper trial for those who could enact anti Food hourding laws. If there was a Sharp rise in Inflation and food stuffs began to shoot through the roof, you would be able to have a hedge against the problem while you got cought up.

What no worry about having an idiot with a vendetta and a tort happy judge stealing all you saving with a godless seizure of your accounts?

Raise your kids NOT to get a Social Security number, Raise them to save their assets outside of the Numbering System, teach them a trade work for yourself. Be a good neighbour and buy you needs and supplies within your local community whenever possible, from mom and pop shops, small businesses and other folks you know real well. When ever possible ALWAYS deal with those who you know KNOW Jesus Christ as LORD and Saviour before you deal with anyone else for the things you need.

Jesus threw out the Money Changers, he had nothing good to say about Publicans who refused to Repent, and he said No man can serve two masters!
